Making a to-do list
Many people tend to get lost in the little tasks they have accomplished throughout the day. Especially if you don't have a job, study or other kind of occupation which helps you fill in your days. I have been struggling which seeing what a had achieved on a day, goals or tasks were forgotten easily because they did not have a clear structure. What really helped me was making a basic to-do list in the morning. This way I knew what was really necessary to have done that particular day. It could involve planning stuff, meeting with friends, shopping groceries or doing small tasks around the house. although it is very important to plan these chores which really need to get done it is also important to sometimes focus on creating a moment of rest in your day. Be making a small list in advance you can easily schedule this, because it is very important to spend some time to relax as well. This way you can have a moment to sit down and reflect on what you already have accomplished and what still needs to get done. Prioritising is a very useful skill to develop in order to be as effective as possible. What can bring satisfaction and a sense of achievement if you do not have one big, clear goal you are working on is striking down all kinds of smaller tasks you have already completed. Not only will this provide you with a more clear overview of what still needs to get done. It can also feel very rewarding to see your progress as you cross of completed tasks. But it is important to note that you don't need to lay the bar too high. Planning too many chores can work to your disadvantage as you won't be able to complete them all. This will create a discomforting feeling, therefore is it important to critically review your to-do list every morning as check whether or not it is possible to achieve all these tasks within your given period of time. It is better to schedule some extra time for each event rather than too little. You could reward yourself at the end of each day by giving yourself a small reward if you have completed the list. Such as reading a chapter in your favourite book, watching a series or enjoying a piece of your most delicious chocolate.
