Another way you simply reduce waste by freezing products or meals if you simply do not think you can manage the mount to food you have left. Throwing a party may not be your every day solution unfortunately. Luckily freezing your food is becoming much more of a habit and there are plenty of companies which offer all types of storage systems so you can freeze foodies before they expire. The lifespan of certain freezer foods may vary. The expiration date of all products depends on the condition in which they were frozen. Freezing tips:

- Make sure you pay close attention to the overall quality of the food. Once something is out of date, you can do better throw away. Fridges don' t work magic (yet).

- Never freeze products twice! If you have frozen them you cannot re-freeze them anymore.

- Do not freeze too much food at once and let food cool down before you freeze. The freezer temperature will otherwise rise too fast if you will freeze in large quantities. Causing other products to heat up.

- Make sure there is as little air as possible stored with your products, nowadays there are many fine air sealable bags and boxes so you can pile up cleverly if you have some little spaces left.

- Use labels with the dates and ingredients of the dish written down. This way you quickly know what everything is without having to completely defreeze it. It is important to do a fridge check once a months so you get a good overview of what products are about to expire so you can use them extra quickly.
